The Funny Music Project (FuMP) is a collection of talented (and not so talented) filkers and parodists, sharing their new creations with interested listeners much in the same way as their inspiration, Jonathan Coulton, does with his music. You can get the tunes for free at a lower bitrate, but if you want the good stuff, it’ll cost a buck each. Not a bad deal, really, and you can try before you buy.

One of the more recent FuMP tunes is by Tom Smith. He’s taken the traditional song “I Had A Cat/I Bought Me A Cat” and put a new, geeky twist on it (”I Had A Shoggoth“). You may not catch all the references, but trust me, there are a bunch of scifi/fantasy fans who will.
