Speed Racer The Next Generation: The Beginning (available on DVD May 6th) builds on the legendary adventures of the iconic original series by focusing on Speed’s orphaned son as he contends with the everyday hassles of school life at the Racing Academy while uncovering secrets behind his famous father’s disappearance. This DVD sets up and launches the new animated half-hour TV series which begins airing Fridays at 7pm ET on Nicktoons Network, and also coincides with the Warner Bros. live-action feature film which hits theaters on May 9th.
