Vincent Black Shadow “Wooden Kimono”
Since their debut record came out in 2005, Vincent Black Shadow has: gotten a new bassist, gotten kicked out of their own SXSW showcase, been picked up and dropped by a now bankrupt UK label (Alan McGee’s Poptones Records) before their record even came out, gotten banned from at least one if not many clubs in most cities across the US, and completed a few US tours gradually garnering a reputation as one of the rowdiest and best live bands out there right now. Their sophomore LP More Deeper was recorded all analog, live to two-inch tape at Lord Baltimore studios by Rob Girardi (Celebration, Beach House) in four days. Give it a listen:
