Palestinian rapper Belly, deemed Canada’s original gangsta rapper and called an ambassador of peace for his thought provoking, descriptive lyrics about bringing people together and denouncing war, is heating it up in his first year qualifying for MuchMusic’s Video Awards, Canada’s version of MTV’s VMA’s. Belly’s powerful and vivid video for his track “History of Violence,” which looks at the hypocrisy and devastation of the war in Iraq and other Middle Eastern territories, is gaining more and more fans on YouTube.
