Sonic Youth’s guitarist/vocalist Thurston Moore recently signed Wooden Wand to his Ecstatic Peace label. James & The Quiet, the band’s first album on the label, will be released on June 12. The album was produced by Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo, who also plays some stringed things on the recording. Longtime Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley provides his signature rhythmic strut.
