Central Services audio streams

cover of Central ServicesAccording to the press release, Seattle’s Central Services is an accessible, radio-friendly act that maintains an indie hipness like Portastatic or Nada Surf. The pop-catchiness doesn’t feel like a guilty pleasure, mostly because the music is solid. With melodic and sweet vocals, the band recalls younger days, crushes, and innocence. Listen to the full stream of their eponymous album via the e-card, or just check out these two tracks:

  1. I wouldn’t compare this band to Portastatic unless I was trying to insult Mac. Portastatic is good. This is less than good. Can I barrow two hands? Four thumbs down!

  2. That “4 Letter Word” song is awful. 70’s / 90’s inspired rock-schlock.
