Canadian rapper Cadence Weapon’s US debut will be released next week. Breaking Kayfabe was well received by Canadian rap and hip-hop fans when it was released there last fall, and now US fans will finally get a domestic copy of the album.

In conjunction with the US release, here is a video for the disc’s buzzing clubber jam “Sharks.” The video’s retro video game theme is surprising and unexpected for a rap song. I think it looks more like what some indie art-rock band would do, which makes it a cool mashup with the song.
