Clip from 300

The movie 300 will be in US theaters nationwide on Friday, March 9. Based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel, 300 concerns the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army against the advancing Persians; the battle is said to have inspired all of Greece to band together against the Persians, and helped usher in the world’s first democracy.

Blogcritic El Bicho has seen an advance screening of the film, and he advised moviegoers to “[r]un with the speed of Hermes, and see 300 on the biggest screen with the best sound system available to better engulf your senses in its brilliance.” He continues, “I’m ready to relive it. Rare is the film that compels me to see it again on the big screen.”

Be sure to read Blogcritic Neil Miller’s interview with Director Zack Snyder, and enter in the contest he is running for all sorts of cool 300-related prizes.
