Clips from Money Mark’s Brand New By Tomorrow
“Fourth Beastie Boy” Money Mark released a new album today that is a departure from the lo-fi experimental pop he has created in the past.
Brand New By Tomorrow (Brushfire Records) “isn’t your typical jump up and down and have fun record like I usually make,” says Money Mark. “I was really vulnerable at the time I was making the album. I was writing for therapy, just to get through my day. These songs didn’t come easy. Maybe I wrote a couple in one sitting, but that sitting was a long dark night.”
Writing for therapy doesn’t always lead to good writing, but in this case it may have paid off.
