On February 11, 2005 a star-studded gala took place in Los Angeles, two nights prior to that year’s Grammy Awards, honoring Brian Wilson as MusiCares 2005 Person Of The Year. This event lauded Wilson for his contribution to both music and society, along with his humanitarian work with such organizations as the Carl Wilson Foundation for cancer research, Adopt-A-Minefield and Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit Concerts.

This unique event featured a talented line-up of artists paying tribute to Wilson – who also gave a stellar performance – and raised significant funds for MusiCares. These resources, along with contributions from the sales of the DVD, will support MusiCares programs and services, which provide a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need.
